This five day workshop is for all levels. There will be opportunity for individual instruction as well as a full demo and several “mini demos” (painting lips, painting eyes, the temperature of skin, etc.) If you’ve taken his workshops before, you’ll learn new approaches:
• Blocking the head in two values
• A fool-proof way to get a likeness
• Working from the inside out (the Schmid approach)
• Using temperature to turn the form

Joint workshop with noted Plein Air painter Lynn Gertenbach. This could be the trip of a lifetime! You can work with both instructors in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. William and Lynn will be teaching Plein Air Landscape and Painting the Figure in the Landscape. Painting companions are welcome.
The luxurious Villa is close to Arrezzo (the location for It’s a Beautiful Life) and the Medieval village of Cortona (made famous in Under the Tuscan Sun). Days will be spent in the countryside or near the lakes and towns of Tuscany. There is a large studio for evening painting or in case we experience a rainy day. On day five we plan on a trip to Florence.
